Word of the Day・English Vocab App Reviews

I love this app, it will get 5 stars from me when the sound is fixed. Currently, the speaker icon doesnt work at all (no my phone is not on silent and the volume is turned all the way up).

Its a great app. However, it got 4 stars because the voice doesnt work.

Its a nice simple app that I recommend to people who want to improve their vocabulary.

Only some minor issues, words that are chosen are pretty great, usable and not overly archaic, which other word of the days suffer from

Word of the day picks words that i would like to learn, but I dont understand their pronunciation explanation. Additionally, some of the sentences dont explain the word at all. e.g "social media updates are basically selfies, humblebrags, and rants." where humblebrag is the word of the day.

This one actually has words that u can use unlike the one by Silvia Martinez, the words there have no effort put into it. For example, for a week everyday the words were either from Christian beliefs or for a holiday and it was just a regular week, no religious celebrations(unless u count going to church on Sunday)or holidays.

Todays word mentions Trump in the definition in an unfavourable way. Im not a big Trump supporter but dont like politics be worked into my definitions. Im also having trouble playing the sound of the word but Im not sure if thats a setting on my phone or not. Other than this its great.

Most words I could see using. The rest fun just to learn what they mean.

I like this app as it is educational and simple to use. I would like there to be a dictionary component to it.

An excellent way to expand the nigh-eternal vocabulary of the English language. Before long all the spell-checkers that there are will not even be close to the inestimable vocabulary of this wonderful application.

The app itself is decent (though the words are often words I already know), but Ive gotten so tired of being harassed to write a review for the app everyday when I open it! So much so that I am finally writing and review and it isnt a pleasant one!! And even when I went to write a review, it tried to force me to email my thoughts instead. I get what you guys are trying to do, but this is just not the way to do it. I have deleted the app now because it is irritating even if it was a decent app outside of the harassment.
